Manager vacancy - 40 hours per week (term time)
The children of Gardenstown Playschool and After School club are looking for a special person to lead our team.
Gardenstown Playschool is a registered charity, situated within the old schoolhouse at Bracoden Primary School. This allows the children great opportunities with the use of the school canteen for lunches, the gym hall for some exercise, the pitch area for outdoor play and also the forest area to explore. There is also a swimming pool at the primary school which the playschool children are allowed to use (this is usually from Easter until the October break). The close links with the school is very beneficial for the children's transition from playschool to primary 1 - we are very fortunate to have these links in place.
Gardenstown Playschool has a committee in place, which the manager will liaise closely with. The committee provide support where required, and plan and arrange fundraising events throughout the year. Being a charity, it is necessary for such events to take place and we are always very well supported by the local community.
The successful candidate should be enthusiastic, motivated and have a passion for working with young children aged between 2-5.
The successful candidate should also have a minimum of SCQF level 9 or above or working towards this qualification. They should be registered with the SSSC and have a minimum of 2 year's experience working within a similar role.
