1x Apprentice Blacksmith (37Hrs Per Week) £8.98 per Hour 1st year
1x Apprentice Lift Engineer (37Hrs Per Week) £8.40 per Hour 1st year
3x Apprentice Joiners (37Hrs Per Week) £7.45 per Hour 1st year
2x Apprentice Painters (37Hrs Per Week) £7.45 per Hour 1st year
1x Apprentice Slater (37Hrs Per Week) £7.45 per Hour 1st year
2x Apprentice Electricians (37Hrs Per Week) £7.74 per Hour 1st year
1x Apprentice Plumber (37Hrs Per Week) £7.74 per Hour 1st year
Roles that require PVG Membership
Please note that with effect from 1 April 2023, where a role requires PVG membership, candidates will be required to meet the cost of the PVG membership. This applies only to roles with a full time equivalent salary of £30,000 and above. (Teaching roles and jobs at Grade 11 and above (currently £30,727 per annum / £15.97 per hour)
The Council will pay for the PVG membership cost initially, either £18 for existing PVG scheme members, or £59 for non-members, and this cost will be deducted from an employee’s first FULL month’s salary payment.

To carry out and learn from training through to qualification property maintenance and upgrade work to agreed timescales and quality standards
The post holder needs to hold as a minimum:
National 4 English and Maths (or equivalent) or be working towards
Candidates will be required to undertake and pass a relevant skills test as part of the
recruitment process
The postholder is able to demonstrate:

• A basic understanding of a preferred trade
• Understanding of Customer Care
Demonstrate commitment to Fulfilling the requirements of learning the preferred trade through college and on the job training
