Location: Kittybrewster Complex, Aberdeen

Duration: Fixed Term, Full Time

We have several craft apprenticeship posts available within Building Services. These provide a great opportunity if you wish to learn a trade assisting and learning from participating in the provision of building maintenance by carrying out repairs and upgrading of Council properties, working with experienced tradespeople who will help you attain a recognised qualification over a 4 year period and develop you to reach your full potential.

Applicants may be required to undertake and pass a relevant skills test depending on trade applied for.  It would be beneficial if you have passed the relevant skills test in advance of submitting your application – contact the training provider listed with each post below for further information.

You may apply for up to 2 types of apprenticeship and should indicate your 1st and 2nd choices in your application.

Electrician £7.21 - £12.26 per hour (Will need to sit a pre employment test once registered with SECTT)

Joiner £6.92 - £13.15 per hour (Register with CITB)

Painter £6.92 - £13.15 per hour (Register with CITB)

Plasterer £6.92 - £13.15 per hour (Register with CITB - will need to attend Edinburgh college).

Lift Engineer £7.87 £13.39 per hour - aj ak" dir="ltr">Tullos Training (Should sit the Tullos Training aptitude test)

The post holder needs to hold as a minimum:

National 4 English and Maths (or equivalent) or be working towards

Candidates will be required to undertake and pass a relevant skills test as part of the 
recruitment process

The postholder is able to demonstrate:

Skills & Experience in:

A basic understanding of a preferred trade

An understanding of Customer Care

Commitment to:

Fulfilling the requirements of learning the preferred trade through college and on the 
job training

Understanding of:

The need to communicate effectively

The need to understand and follow instructions

The need to work as part of a Team
