Industry Support Executive - Food & Drink

Job Description

Food and drink is the UK's largest manufacturing sector. There are 22,000 people employed in the industry in north east Scotland and the region accounts for more than 20% of Scotland's food and drink output. Aberdeenshire leads on the production of Scotland's quality primary produce from land and sea and is home to some of the country's most iconic brands. 

Support to the food and drink sector in Aberdeenshire is delivered by as a partnership between Aberdeenshire Council and Opportunity North East.  The post holder will help facilitate the ongoing competitiveness and development of the food and drink industry in Aberdeenshire.  The post holder will be an employee of Aberdeenshire Council, but will be seconded to work within the Food Drink & Agriculture team at Opportunity North East.  

Collaboration with industry will be key to achieving business and industry growth.   The successful candidate will have strong interpersonal skills, economic knowledge and experience of the food and drink sector and the ability to develop and lead projects.

This post has a minimum requirement of one reference, one which must be your current or most recent employer.
