Aberdeenshire Council are looking for a Project Assistant to help with the implementation of the new Waste Strategy and for the successful person to make a real difference to the environment gain while gaining invaluable experience within the Waste and Recycling Industry.
Aberdeenshire Council are looking for a Project Assistant to help with the implementation of the new Waste Strategy and for the successful person to make a real difference to the environment gain while gaining invaluable experience within the Waste and Recycling Industry.
Under the new strategy, all households will be provided with a 180 litre bin for recycling of food and drink cans, cartons and plastics (bottles, pots, tubs and trays) and the existing blue-lidded recycling bin for recycling of paper and card.
This will be a wide and varied role, so you will need to be flexible and able to deal with issues as they arise. No two days will be the same but typically you will have daily contact with the bin distribution company and the Waste Service as well as answering queries from members of the public and Local Councillors.
Good written and verbal communication skills are essential for this role.
This is a 9 month fixed term post, primarily be based in Inverurie and reports to the Project Leader, Waste Services.
There is a responsibility for the post holder to demonstrate a commitment to quality service delivery through continuous improvement for the benefit of the Service and the organisation.
