Job Description

Whether you are driven by enabling others or simply just passionate about swimming, being a swimming instructor is an incredibly rewarding career. Even if you have not already obtained a recognised swim teaching qualification, but you are keen to learn, you will be provided with the opportunity to gain this on an upcoming course organised by Aberdeenshire Council.

If successful you will become part of an already motivated team, but require to bring a willingness to learn and the ability to embrace new concepts. In return our bespoke, ongoing training programme will provide you with the opportunity to develop your personal and professional skills. This is an opportunity you don’t want to miss.

There is a responsibility for the post holder to demonstrate a commitment to quality service delivery through continuous improvement for the benefit of the Service and the organisation.

The minimum hours of work are 4 hours per week. There may be a possibility of working more hours per week.  The hourly rate is £14.92 to £15.33.

This post has a minimum requirement of one reference, which must be your current or most recent employer.

This post is regulated work with Children and/or Protected Adults under the Protection of Vulnerable Groups (Scotland) Act 2007. The preferred candidate will be required to join the PVG Scheme or undergo a PVG Scheme update check. Where an individual has spent a continuous period of 3 months or more out with the UK in the last 5 years, an Overseas Criminal Record Check will be required. You will be required to provide this check. A confirmed offer of employment and commencement in the post will be subject to the outcome of both these pre-employment checks being deemed satisfactory.

The interviews are expected to be held on Friday, 24 May 2024.
