Argyll and Bute Council's Infrastructure Design Service invite applications for the role of:

Clerk of works / structures & flooding inspector.

Argyll and Bute Council's Infrastructure Design Service comprises of a dynamic team of 9 engineers and 5 technicians (including 2 clerk of works/inspectors) at various levels. We run a variety of multi-disciplinary projects such as bridges, piers & harbours, coastal and flooding schemes as well as depot, cemetery and car park developments. Our projects are located across the whole of Argyll and Bute which includes 23 inhabited islands and they range from pounds to millions of pounds in cost.

The post includes assisting in delivering a high quality service within the Roads and Infrastructure Services’ civil engineering consultancy arm, Infrastructure Design, by ensuring that all infrastructure activities / initiatives meet all required regulations and statutes in relation to construction and safety, by monitoring and inspecting standards and progress of work on road/structure construction sites and carrying out the inspection, estimating, reporting and recording of road, coastal and flooding related infrastructure.

The post shall be based at our Lochgilphead office.
