Do you aspire to be an Environmental Health Manager working in the beautiful west coast of Scotland.? This is an exciting opportunity to lead and manage a professional team delivering all aspects of environmental health across an area covering the west of Argyll of Bute and islands, including Mull, Tiree, Coll, Islay, Jura and Colonsay. 

The successful candidate will have management responsibility for delivery of the full range is environmental health across the west team geographic area as well as responsibility for food control across the full Council areas. There may be some flexibility on the area of area wide responsibility, subject to experience

You will have proven experience in managing a range of environmental health functions, including public health, food safety, health & safety and environmental compliance and proven experience in team leading. You will have good leadership, interpersonal and communication skills. good organisational skills and able to work on own initiative and as part of a team.

The post is based in Lochgilphead or Oban however there is scope for flexible/hybrid/remote working arrangements subject to the successful candidate’s ability to deliver the workload and challenges of the post.
