Argyll and Bute Council are looking to recruit an ICT Compliance and Security Officer to join the ICT Management Team and take responsibility for the Council’s Cyber Security and ICT related compliance programmes.   This is a full time hybrid post working 35 hours per week.  The council recognises the numerous benefits of a positive work life balance to the wellbeing and productivity of our employees. Whilst the majority of this role can be carried out remotely, occasional team working in person is a requirement of the post so there is an expectation of periodic attendance in Lochgilphead or Helensburgh.

The post holder will support the ICT and Digital Manager to deliver high quality, efficient, effective, and secure ICT services to the Council and help develop the team’s strategic objectives and service plans by working in partnership with colleagues, within and out with the service, and by taking personal responsibility for planning how these are delivered effectively and efficiently to service users. The post holder will manage statutory compliance, and ensure best practice in regard to the security of the ICT service.

You should be a self-motivated ICT Security professional with experience of current cyber security and compliance trends, strategy, and implementation.

You should have a good understanding of the PSN, Cyber Essentials, and PCI compliance standards and possess excellent communication and presentation skills.
