We are looking for a qualified Social Worker who has knowledge of working with vulnerable adults and preferably experience of Adult Protection to join our team. This post is based in Lochgilphead and covers the Mid Argyll area. The post involves assessment, review and case management of clients. The successful candidate will have a strong sense of professional identity and an ability to work independently and as part of a small but busy team. The individual appointed may be required to join the Social Work Emergency Out of Hours Standby Service rota from time to time.

  • The salary shown is the full time equivalent salary, the actual salary will be paid pro rata for the hours worked.  
  • The Rehabilitation of Offenders Act 1974 (Exclusions and Exceptions) (Scotland) Order 2013, as amended, applies to this post.  
  • This post requires Protection of Vulnerable Group (PVG) Membership in relation to working with both children and adults.
  • You will be required to participate in standby or other out of hour's service arrangements, as appropriate. 
  • This post requires registration with the Scottish Social Services Council (SSSC).
