Assistant Building Surveyor - Sustainable Construction Delivery
Waverley Court

Salary: £34,057 - £40,275
Hours: 36 per week

The Council is looking to recruit a dynamic, client focused, personable and technically strong Assistant Building Surveyor with good people, design, project and contract management experience. You will be part of a growing team of building surveyors within the in-house, multi discipline design service for the Council.

You should be HND or degree qualified in Building Surveying and be working towards an associate or full membership of a related professional body such as CIOB, RICS or similar.

It is expected you will have post qualification experience in building surveying design and project/contract management, as well as experience of working as part of a professional design team. Experience and working knowledge in Auto CAD, MS Office and building surveying design packages is also required. Experience of providing energy efficient and carbon reducing design solutions as well as knowledge of Passive Haus and EnerPHit design would be an advantage.

You should have good communication skills both written and verbally and be able to present well as a representative of the Council. You should also have a valid CSCS card.

Our salary range typically reflects the initial starting salary and annually increases until it reaches the top of the range. For roles in grade 5 or above, annual increments in our contribution zones are dependent on achieving agreed performance goals

We're committed to creating a workplace culture where all our people feel valued, included and able to be their best at work, and we recognise the benefits that a diverse workforce with different values, beliefs, experience, and backgrounds brings to us as an organisation.
