Benmore Outdoor Centre

Salary: £18.42 per hour

Edinburgh Outdoor Learning comprises two residential centres and a city based resource and training hub.

We are looking for associate Instructors to join our team within Benmore Centre and our other associated local buildings.

We are focused on providing high quality Outdoor Learning to the school children of Edinburgh City along with a wide mix of other local authorities, youth, charity, corporate and Duke of Edinburgh related organisations. Our course delivery aspires to contribute to each school’s Curriculum for Excellence outcomes through Outdoor Learning. 

Potential candidates should be well practised and have a high level of competency in delivering residential outdoor learning thatdelivers C for E outcomes.

The Centre has a staff structure that incorporatesa Centre Manager, Two Lead Instructors, Six Permanent Instructors, fixed term contracts and a pool of Casual Tertiary Instructional Staff. These vacancies are new posts to work alongside our Instructional staff team at Benmore.  

This post is considered Regulated Work with Vulnerable Children and/or Protected Adults, under the Protection of Vulnerable Groups (Scotland) Act 2007. Preferred candidates will be required to join the PVG Scheme or undergo a PVG Scheme update check prior to a formal offer of employment being made by the City of Edinburgh Council.
