This is a varied and rewarding role where you will be at the forefront of supporting our Contracts Team to help improve the lives of Edinburgh citizens through the purchase of high quality and transformative services.

Edinburgh Health and Social Care Partnership provides a wide range of services to a population of nearly 500,000, in Scotland’s capital city. Our focus in on improving the quality and breadth of services we provide for our citizens, supporting them to live the best lives they can. To successfully deliver this we need motivated people with excellent relationship skills on our Contracts Team to deliver in the role as Contracts Officer.

As a Contracts Officer you will be responsible for overseeing a portfolio of contracts, working closely with a variety of key internal and external stakeholders to successfully develop, implement and monitor externally purchased contracted services. This role require someone with the creativity to help shape services, the ability to react to an ever-changing landscape, with well-honed interpersonal skills, and the work ethic and management skills to contribute effectively to the team.

We work across a large portfolio of commissioned services, including residential care, home-based care, day opportunities, advocacy, peer support and counselling services to name just a few areas. This is a great opportunity to learn about a wide variety of different services that the Partnership supports.

The post is currently operating on a hybrid model of mostly home-based working alongside structured contact team time in an office environment.

The Successful candidate will be required to obtain a basic Disclosure Scotland certificate prior to start.

This post is considered Regulated Work with Vulnerable Children and/or Protected Adults, under the Protection of Vulnerable Groups (Scotland) Act 2007. Preferred candidates will be required to join the PVG Scheme or undergo a PVG Scheme update check prior to a formal offer of employment being made by the City of Edinburgh Council.

Our salary range typically reflects the initial starting salary and annually increases until it reaches the top of the range.
