Early Years Assistant - fixed term until 28/06/2023

Salary: £21,697 - £21,979 (pro rata for part time and sessional)
Hours: 15 per week, 39 weeks sessional

An opportunity has arisen for an Early Years Assistant to join the Flora’s Family.  Working in our Nursery delivering 1:1 support, you will be committed to ensuring we meet our motto of every child matters and every child achieves. You will be warm and friendly and will be committed to meeting and responding to children with ASN.  Working in a busy nursery of 60 full-time children, you will be a team player and will enjoy working alongside others.

This post is fixed term, term time, part time and due to end on 28th June 2023. Flora Stevenson Primary Nursery class (60 children) receiving 1140 hours per child.  

There is a requirement to be registered with SSSC or equivalent and gain a SVQ level 2 qualification within 5 years.

This post is considered Regulated Work with Vulnerable Children and/or Protected Adults, under the Protection of Vulnerable Groups (Scotland) Act 2007. Preferred candidates will be required to join the PVG Scheme or undergo a PVG Scheme update check prior to a formal offer of employment being made by the City of Edinburgh Council.

Our salary range typically reflects the initial starting salary and annually increases until it reaches the top of the range.
