Early Years Practitioner - fixed term until 31/12/2024
Towerbank Primary School - Nursery

Salary: £26,788 - £30,751 (pro rata for part time and sessional)
Hours: 15.5 per week, (Wednesday plus one other day to be agreed with candidate), 39 weeks sessional

Towerbank is a large non-denominational primary school which serves the community of Portobello on the outskirts of Edinburgh. The current roll is 540 in the main school and 40 in the nursery.

The management team currently consists of the Head Teacher, two Depute Head Teachers, a Principal Teacher and a Business Manager. Specialist provision is currently provided in Music, P.E. and French.

We are looking for an enthusiastic and creative Early Years Practitioner to join our team at Towerbank Nursery two days a week. This post is regulated work with children and/or protected adults under the Protection of Vulnerable Groups (Scotland) Act 2007. The preferred candidate will be required to join the PVG Scheme or undergo a PVG Scheme update check.  Where an individual has spent a continuous period of 3 months or more out with the UK in the last 5 years, an Overseas Criminal Record Check will be required. You will be required to provide this check. Our salary range typically reflects the initial starting salary and annually increases until it reaches the top of the range.
