62 Longstone Street

Salary: £36,312 - £42,717 per year
Hours: 36 per week

Do you want an occupational therapy career that's intellectually stimulating, rewarding, and brimming with innovation? Then join our incredible team at the Edinburgh Community Rehabilitation and Support Service (ECRSS).

ECRSS provides person centred, specialist rehabilitation and support for adults

adults who have a physical disability and are living with long term conditions. Much of our work is focussed on supporting people who have had a stroke but we also work with people who have Parkinson’s Disease, Multiple Sclerosis, Motor Neurone Disease or Huntington’s Disease.

We're a friendly, collaborative team pushing the boundaries of stroke and neurological rehabilitation. Here, you'll use your expertise to empower people to regain independence and achieve their full potential.

Why You'll Love Working Here:

- We're constantly exploring new approaches and integrating the latest research and technology into our practice. You'll have the freedom to contribute your ideas and shape the future of neuro rehab.
- Witness the joy of transformation first-hand as you help people regain daily living skills and rediscover their passions.
- We value collaboration and celebrate each other's successes. You'll be surrounded by passionate and knowledgeable therapists, support workers and 3rd sector partners.
- We’re a sector leader, renowned for our innovative approach and exceptional person-centred outcomes.

This role offers a permanent full time contract, hybrid working opportunities, and a competitive salary.

You'll Be a Perfect Fit If You:

- Are a registered occupational therapist with a passion for and experience of neurological rehabilitation.
- Have a working knowledge of neurological conditions and the current guidelines, legislation, and policies about stroke.
- Thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment where creativity is encouraged.
- Possess excellent communication and interpersonal skills to build strong relationships with people, families, and colleagues.
- Are a team player who enjoys sharing knowledge and collaborating towards a common goal.

If you're a passionate OT who wants to make a real difference in a supportive, forward-thinking environment, we want to hear from you!

This post is regulated work with children and/or protected adults under the Protection of Vulnerable Groups (Scotland) Act 2007. The preferred candidate will be required to join the PVG Scheme or undergo a PVG Scheme update check. Where an individual has spent a continuous period of 3 months or more out with the UK in the last 5 years, an Overseas Criminal Record Check will be required. You will be required to provide this check. An unconditional offer of employment and commencement in the post will be subject to the outcome of both these pre-employment checks being deemed satisfactory.

Requirements

As part of our goal to improve our organisational culture and create a great place to work together for the people of Edinburgh, we want to make sure that we’re bringing the best people into our roles, not just in their skills and experience but also in their approach to work.

To help achieve this, we’re changing the way we interview and assess candidates by moving from a competency-based interview approach to a behavioural and technical (skills for the job) based approach. This new way of interviewing will allow us to assess how you think and how you would bring Our Behaviours of Respect, Integrity and Flexibility into your ways of working.

We're committed to creating a workplace culture where all our people feel valued, included and able to be their best at work, and we recognise the benefits that a diverse workforce with different values, beliefs, experience, and backgrounds brings to us as an organisation.

Our salary range typically reflects the initial starting salary and annually increases until it reaches the top of the range.
