Wester Hailes Healthy Living Centre
Salary: £26,854 - £34,057
Hours: 36 per week
The family practitioner is a post in the PrePare Team, a multi-disciplinary team in partnership with NHS Lothian, Health and Social Care and Communities and Families. The aim is to work with families who have been affected by addiction during pregnancy and within the child’s first two years.
The post is based in Wester Hailes and you will be expected to work on an outreach basis throughout Edinburgh. We work Monday to Friday, within a core working day 8.30 - 5.
We use Parent's Under Pressure as a framework for our assessments and interventions, and we will support the successful applicant to be trained in this model.
We need an experienced practitioner who is familiar with addiction and working with families who are under significant stress and have experienced multiple trauma.
It is a supportive team and we need someone with a passion for supporting people and who works well independently and with others.
This post is considered Regulated Work with Vulnerable Children and/or Protected Adults, under the Protection of Vulnerable Groups (Scotland) Act 2007. Preferred candidates will be required to join the PVG Scheme or undergo a PVG Scheme update check prior to a formal offer of employment being made by the City of Edinburgh Council.
We're committed to creating a workplace culture where all our people feel valued, included and able to be their best at work, and we recognise the benefits that a diverse workforce with different values, beliefs, experience, and backgrounds brings to us as an organisation.
Our salary range typically reflects the initial starting salary and annually increases until it reaches the top of the range.
