You will take account of the organisation’s digital ambitions and the need for ongoing modernisation of our digital infrastructure, products, strategy and information management. This will include:

• Responsibility for driving a programme of digital innovation projects which improve both internal digital skills and capability for staff, and also the direct provision of health and social care services and supports via digital solutions including telehealth and technology enabled care;

You will have oversight and management of the overall digital programme and also directly lead on projects and initiatives within the programme that support the EHSCP’s digital transformation objectives.

You will be responsible for ensuring that robust business cases and clear plans are developed, and risks and dependencies are well managed.

You will develop project proposals which will deliver significant benefits, including financial savings of up to £5m, and monitoring project and programme budgets and benefits realisation.

You should have previous experience of building successful, collaborative relationships and networks with a wide range of stakeholder groups. You will work closely with professionals from across the business and other partners to identify and develop proposals and support project delivery. You should have excellent communication, engagement and presentation skills and the ability to present complex information with confidence both verbally and in writing.

This is an integrated post and the successful candidate will be able to choose between NHS Lothian employment and City of Edinburgh Council terms and conditions of employment. This includes salary.
