Salary: £24,890 - £28,854 per year (Pro rata for part-time and sessional)
Hours :35per week, 39 weeks sessional

We have just moved into our new building Castlebrae Community Campus. Our new building will transform learning and teaching experiences and provide innovative and inspirational spaces for our rapidly expanding community.

This is a great opportunity for a highly motivated dynamic inspirational Pupil Support Officer to play a key role in our diverse, innovative, creative and supportive team regarding health and wellbeing.

We are looking for a Pupil Support Officer to join our staff team and support our School Counsellors. This post would suit someone who has previous experience working with, and to provide support for young people with high levels of needs including mental health concerns. They will understand and value the importance of the young people’s mental health and wellbeing. Flexibility, enthusiasm and a commitment to inclusion are some of the key skills required to fulfil the post.

The successful candidate will have the opportunity to work with a staff that is committed to ensuring that our young people receive the highest quality of education and experiences within a nurturing school environment.

This post is considered Regulated Work with Vulnerable Children and/or Protected Adults, under the Protection of Vulnerable Groups (Scotland) Act 2007. Preferred candidates will be required to join the PVG Scheme or undergo a PVG Scheme update check prior to a formal offer of employment being made by the City of Edinburgh Council.
