Senior Social Worker - Domestic Abuse Services - Fixed term until 30/6/2024
Grindlay Street Social Work Centre

Salary: £40,275 - £47,654 per year
Hours: 36 per week

This exciting opportunity is located within Domestic Abuse Services who work with male perpetrators, on both a voluntary basis and those subject to statutory supervision. The post holder will be required to have in depth knowledge and understanding of the criminal justice system, domestic abuse and approaches to working with people affected by trauma.

This temporary post provides an opportunity to lead a team of to Social Workers and Groupworkers across Men's and Children's Services. The senior social worker will have significant experience in partnership working and in the assessment and management of risk.

This post is considered Regulated Work with Vulnerable Children and/or Protected Adults, under the Protection of Vulnerable Groups (Scotland) Act 2007. Preferred candidates will be required to join the PVG Scheme or undergo a PVG Scheme update check prior to a formal offer of employment being made by the City of Edinburgh Council.

Our salary range typically reflects the initial starting salary and annually increases until it reaches the top of the range.
