Team Leader- Family Group Decision Making (FGDM) - fixed term until 31/07/2024
City Chambers

Salary: £50,287 - £60,187
Hours: 36 per week

FGDM is a family-led decision-making process that recognises and builds on the strengths within families, empowering them to develop solutions to support and protect their children. FGDM is a rights-based approach that empowers children and families to be involved in decisions and planning that affect them. As a model it supports children and families to have their voices heard and take ownership of decision-making, drawing on strengths and resources from within the wider family group.

Edinburgh is one of the largest FGDM services in Scotland and has been at the forefront of innovations and developments of the model nationally. An exciting opportunity has arisen for a temporary Team leader within the service. We are looking to recruit a dynamic, experienced individual who can support the team to continue its development.

The Team Leader provides leadership to Coordinators who are responsible for convening and holding Family Group Decision Making Meetings. The team leader provides professional development and supervision to a team of Coordinators, focusing on continuous improvement and ensuring a high standard of family group meetings.

This post is regulated work with children and/or protected adults under the Protection of Vulnerable Groups (Scotland) Act 2007. The preferred candidate will be required to join the PVG Scheme or undergo a PVG Scheme update check. Where an individual has spent a continuous period of 3 months or more out with the UK in the last 5 years, an Overseas Criminal Record Check will be required. You will be required to provide this check. An unconditional offer of employment and commencement in the post will be subject to the outcome of both these pre-employment checks being deemed satisfactory.
