Job Description
A fantastic opportunity has arisen for a Mental Health Officer to join our Integrated Mental Health Team. You will undertake statutory Mental Health Officer duties in order to enable Clackmannanshire Council to discharge its duties and responsibilities in relation to primary mental health legislation i.e. Mental Health (Care & Treatment)(Scotland) Act 2003, Criminal Procedures (Scotland) Act 1995 Adults with Incapacity (Scotland) Act 2000 and the Adult Support and Protection (Scotland) Act 2007.
This involves multi-disciplinary assessment and integrated care planning to secure necessary care and treatment to fulfil Clackmannanshire Council’s statutory obligations in-line with relevant policies and procedures. You will be working alongside people of all ages experiencing a range of mental disorders, their families and carers.
Applications are invited from qualified Social Workers (BA Social Work, DipSW, CQSW or CSS) who must be registered with the SSSC and hold the MHO Award whilst continuing to fulfil MHO registration requirements.
This post is regulated work with Children and/or Protected Adults under the Protection of Vulnerable Groups (Scotland) Act 2007. The preferred candidate will be required to join the PVG Scheme or undergo a PVG Scheme update check.
