Job Description
A number of Social Care Workers are required for Taigh Shìphoirt, a 52-bedded care home including an additional 15-bedded respite wing, and Bremner Court, which consists of 35 independent flats, within the Goathill Complex.
Required to work on a rota basis, you will work enthusiastically as a member of a team that promotes and supports Adults with Support needs to maximise their inclusion, independence and planned outcomes.
The Following posts are available:
37 hours per week – 2 posts (£26,834 to £29,516 per annum)
19 hours per week – 1 post (£13,780 to £15,157 per annum)

You should have an understanding of the rights and responsibilities of people with support needs, the ability to listen effectively and communicate clearly and the ability to work as part of a team. You should also have SVQ Level III in Care (or equivalent), in the absence of this - you must have the ability to undertake and achieve this qualification - 36 months after registration with the SSSC.
Salary for the above post is inclusive of Distant Islands Allowance. Appointment to the post will be on the first point of grade with annual incremental progression.
The wearing and use of PPE is essential in this role.
