Support for Learning Assistant, The Nicolson Institute (8318)
25 hours per week, term time, fixed term to 27 June 2024
£15,495 - £16,109 per annum, inclusive of £1,560 Distant Islands Allowance per annum
The post holder will be required to provide support for children with additional support needs. Duties will include: working in mainstream classes, assisting pupils with school work, under the direction of class teacher; supervision of children at intervals and lunch breaks; assisting in the management of children and young people with behavioural difficulties.
You must have experience of working with children, as a parent or in a voluntary or professional capacity and an understanding of the basic needs of children. The ability to co-operate with others and work effectively as a member of a team is essential.
This post is subject to membership of the Protecting Vulnerable Groups (PVG) Scheme in respect of regulated work with children.
Salary for the above post is inclusive of Distant Islands Allowance. Appointment to the post will be on the first point of the grade.
