Support for Learning Assistant (9158), Castlebay Nursery - Fixed Term

Job Description

Required for 12 hours per week, term time, this post provides support for children with additional support needs.

Duties include: working in mainstream classes, assisting pupils with school work, under the direction of class teacher; supervision of children at intervals and lunch breaks; assisting in the management of children and young people with behavioural difficulties.

Requirements

You must have: experience of working with children, as a parent or in a voluntary or professional capacity; an understanding of the basic needs of children; the ability to co-operate with others and work effectively as a member of a team; a patient, cheerful personality with a flexible, open and caring approach.

This is a 6 Month fixed term post.  Salary for the above post is £6,856 per annum,  inclusive of Distant Islands Allowance.
