Dumfries and Galloway Health and Social Care Partnership are looking for a motivated and organised individual to join our Commissioning Team.
Working with service providers, colleagues and partners, the role supports the monitoring, commissioning and continuous improvement of adult social care services across the region.
A key part of the role is building and maintaining effective working relationships with a wide range of stakeholders, including service providers, health and social care staff, procurement and finance colleagues, community organisations and people who use services. Through collaborative working, you will help drive service improvement, support effective contract management and contribute to better outcomes for local communities.
The role includes reviewing and monitoring commissioned services against contractual requirements and service specifications in order to ensure best value. The post holder will support the Health and Social Care Partnership in identifying and managing risks which might affect the ability of commissioned services to deliver services and to foster and support continuous improvement.
The successful candidate will be educated to degree standard in a relevant discipline. They should have experience in social care or a related field. They will have strong communication, organisational and analytical skills and be able to build positive relationships and work effectively with a wide range of stakeholders. They will be able to maintain, review and analyse records and information accurately for contract monitoring purposes and be able to manage their workload effectively, meet deadlines and work both independently and as part of a team.
A current driving license is an essential requirement of the post. However, if you have a disability which precludes you from holding a driving licence, reasonable adjustments will be considered where appropriate.
Requirements
The post is based at Mountainhall Treatment Centre in Dumfries. However currently the staff team are working predominantly from home with some hybrid working arrangements, which currently includes a monthly in-person office meeting. Going forward, arrangements in regard to hybrid working continue to be under consideration.
