Are you passionate about making a difference in the lives of young people with additional support needs? Do you thrive in a dynamic, person-centred environment where no two days are the same? If so, we want to hear from you!
We are currently recruiting for an ASN Employment Key Worker to join our busy Employability and Skills Team as part of an exciting project working alongside secondary schools across our region.
About the Role
This is a unique and rewarding opportunity to support young people with additional support needs as they transition from school into further education, training, employment, or other positive destinations tailored to their individual aspirations.
Working closely with young people, their families/carers, and a range of partners, you will:
- Develop personalised employability plans based on individual strengths and goals.
- Support academic attainment, work-based learning, and skills development.
- Facilitate access to third-party providers and accreditation opportunities.
- Provide whole-family employability support through signposting and referrals.
You’ll be based in schools and community settings, with the flexibility to work across the region in response to service needs.
What We’re Looking For
We’re seeking a motivated, compassionate, and proactive individual who:
- Has experience working 1:1 and in groups with young people and/or adults.
- Understands the barriers faced by individuals with additional support needs.
- Is confident in engaging with employers and partners to secure meaningful placements.
- Has knowledge of local support services, employability pathways, and the welfare system.
- Holds a full driving licence (or can demonstrate alternative transport arrangements if applicable).
