An opportunity has arisen due to high service demand for a Homeless Assistants to work as part of a busy Housing Options and Homeless Service.

You will be required to work 36 hours per week.

The post will assist the Housing Options & Homeless Officers who take applications from those who are Homeless or at threat of homelessness and provide support to service users through this process.  You will also assist the Temporary Accommodation team providing support to ensure accommodation is managed for the period of occupancy.

You will be part of a busy team providing support to service users and dealing with challenging situations.

You should have experience of dealing with the public and working in an office environment.  Relevant Housing and Homeless knowledge would be an advantage.

You must be enthusiastic, self-motivated, and resilient with a flexible approach to work.  You can work well in a team environment and on your own initiative.

A current driving licence is an essential requirement of this post. However, if you have a disability which precludes you from holding a driving licence consideration will be given if alternative transport can be arranged. 

This post is subject to a Baseline Personnel Security Standards check, and this includes candidate vetting through Disclosure Scotland.
