Job Purpose

Working within a performance management and continuous improvement framework the postholder will strive to exceed the expectations of the East Ayrshire Leisure Strategy and Delivery Plan and in doing so promote and recognise the importance of people in delivering our vision and values. This position is within the Dean Castle at Dean Castle Country Park, Kilmarnock. Specific duties include, but not limited to: Providing a warm and personal welcome to visitors of the Dean Castle, answering questions and providing information as and when required. Provide additional security to the collections on dsplay. Assisting colleagues with preparing and delivering our exhibitions and events programme, including operational set up. Attending meetings when required, supporting and contributing ideas to the ongoing development and delivery of the cultural programme. Undertake a wide range of administrative duties, liaising with external contractors and internal departments to maintain building standards Ensure all Health & Safety procedures are delivered and maintained, with respect to staff and visitor safety, and building compliance TO BE CONSIDERED FOR INTERVIEW, CANDIDATES MUST DEMONSTRATE THAT THEY MEET ALL ESSENTIAL CRITERIA OF THE ATTACHED JOB SPECIFICATION. Rate of Pay

Rate of Pay - £12.59 - £13.25 per hour Hours of work will be 24.5 hours per week to be worked 5 over 7 days on a rota basis, and will include weekend working.
