Days and Hours of Work:
Monday - Friday, 09:00-17:00 (still to be confirmed).
Days of work are negotiable, starting and finishing times are flexible, and flexi time is applicable.

We are looking for an enthusiastic and motivated Community Care Worker to join the Occupational Therapy Team working with Major Adaptations. The post is permanent, part time (21 hours) and will be based in Musselburgh Primary Care Centre.
Our service is committed to developing effective and efficient ways of enabling people affected by disability to achieve their outcomes. The post holder will work closely with the Occupational Therapists in the Major Adaptation and Cluster teams, Housing, Care and Repair, architects and contractors. The role involves supporting the Occupational Therapy team to progress major adaptations to owner occupied properties across East Lothian and the post holder will be required to visit clients in their own homes.
You should have some experience of working in the community or health care setting, and preferably some knowledge of disability and the impact this can have on people. Training will be provided to ensure the post holder is confident in carrying out their role within the service.

Educated to HNC or SVQ level 3 in social care, or equivalent, and be able to demonstrate equivalent knowledge, skills and competencies gained through relevant experience.
As the duties of this role require you to effectively travel to successfully undertake the full remit of the role, you must hold a current driving licence and have access to a vehicle.*
