East Lothian Children's Services has an exciting opportunity for a Senior Practitioner to join the Disability Team. The team is our specialist team working with children, young people, and their families, affected by complex and enduring disabilities. The team consists of a team leaders, 2 senior practitioners, 2.5 social workers and 1.5 family support workers and has dedicated administrative support.

The team is our specialist team working with children, young people, and their families affected by complex and enduring disabilities across East Lothian. The care at home crisis has resulted in some creative and innovative practice being developed, with the team undertaking all aspects of this work from referral, assessment, setting up and reviewing packages of support. The post holder will hold a caseload of children, young people with complex and enduring disabilities, and be a key member of the leadership team.

Job Requirements

Education/Qualifications
Essential: Approved qualification in Social Work, and SSSC registration.
Desirable: Post qualifying award.

Driving Licence
Full current driving licence and access to a vehicle*
