Job Description

The salary advertised is full time (35 hours per week). Part-time hours will be pro-rated accordingly.

Hourly rate of pay: £22.07 - £24.64

Maternity cover until 20th May 2024.
Days and Hours of Work:
Working 1 day a week from 09:00-17:00
Days of working are negotiable, flexi time is applicable, and starting and finishing times are flexible.

Requirements

Responsible for the planning and provision of workforce development within Children’s Services, in line with the key service priorities. This involves leading on the strategic planning, co-ordination, implementation and evaluation of learning and development in accordance with Scottish Social Services Council registration requirements.

Lead on driving and maintaining a learning culture that promotes promoting resilience and lifelong learning to ensure the best possible outcomes for our children, young people and families in East Lothian

Relevant Qualifications
Approved Social Work Qualification.

Social Work Practice Teacher accreditation or Certificate in Child Protection and commitment to work towards Practice Teacher accreditation.

Driving Licence
As the duties of this role require you to effectively travel to successfully undertake the full remit of the role, you must hold a current driving licence and have access to a vehicle.*

PVG Membership
This post is considered as Regulated Work with vulnerable children and/or protected adults, as specified in the Protection of Vulnerable Groups (Scotland) Act 2007.
