We are looking for..

A fantastic opportunity has arisen for an experienced Social Worker to join our busy multi-disciplinary team. The Children with Disabilities team is small and well established. It is responsible for working with a range of professionals across health and education services to undertake assessment of need. The team is also responsible for supporting the provision of services to children and their families. The successful candidate will be required to carry an individual caseload, undertake duty on a rota basis, support resource provision for children and their families, mentor others and contribute towards service development.

Due to service redesign, applications are welcomed from experienced registered Social Workers who meet our Advanced Practitioner criteria:

  • Minimum 3 years post qualifying experience, accompanied by
  • Evidence of Post Graduate Qualification, or
  • Evidence of additional learning and development*, and
  • Management of Complex Cases

*commitment to undertake Post Graduate Qualification if successful

This is based on a Social Worker committed to practicing at a higher level of competence derived from the accumulation of experience, level of expertise (academic and developmental) and the ability to confidently engage with situations that present greater risk and complexity. Supporting others to develop their knowledge and skills is also key to this role.

If selected for interview you will be asked to present evidence against the criteria that supports your application. All applicants will require to be registered with the SSSC, have a PVG and Social Work qualification.
