We are looking to recruit an Assistant Cook on a 38 week permanent contract based at Kinnaird Primary School.
Duties of the posts include a high level of food preparation, serving of food, and ensuring all standards (cooking, cleaning, quality etc) are maintained to a high standard. The successful candidate should be flexible in their approach and be prepared to assist the Senior Cook in the smooth operation of the kitchen and front of house.
Applicants will require previous point of sale till and or vending experience, good communication skills, able to time manage with an understanding of customer care, preferably in a catering environment. Ideally, the preferred candidate should be trained to intermediate food hygiene level or working towards it along with experience in food preparation and café style catering. As with all Falkirk Council posts you could be asked to work at any location within the Council area as required.
You will work 30 hours per week, 8am to 2.30pm (half hour unpaid break)
If you are the successful candidate, you will be required to gain/maintain PVG scheme membership.
