Applications are invited for the role of Energy and Climate Change Co-ordinator. The postholder will be responsible for co-ordinating the work of the Energy and Climate Change team to assist Council Services in meeting and maintaining national and local climate change and carbon reduction goals. 

The postholder will lead a team to develop a one-Council approach to addressing the climate emergency, assisting Services to adapt to a changing climate and to de-carbonise wherever possible, ensuring compliance with legislation and obligations.  The postholder will foster, develop and sustain working relationships with, and provide an advisory service to, internal and external stakeholders

The successful candidate will be qualified to degree level in an appropriate discipline and hold a postgraduate qualification in a relevant discipline.  Professional membership of the Institute of Environmental Management and Assessment (IEMA) or equivalent is not essential but desirable.

Relevant experience in a professional and management capacity is desirable, as is project management experience.
