We are looking for a hardworking, enthusiastic, dedicated individuals who are solution focused and will use their initiative, experience, and skills to help us provide an excellent Housing Repairs and Maintenance Service.

You will be required to make decisions on all aspects of housing repair and contract related work based on observations made on-site and from information received. You will provide technical advice and support to Housing colleagues in meeting their technical responsibilities.

You will carry out comprehensive technical inspections of Council owned properties, quantify repairs, provide accurate measurements, and issue work instructions on a frequent basis. You will also be required to inspect work carried out by contractors and act as necessary to ensure works are completed timeously and to specification.

Ideally you have a good understanding of social housing policies and practices. As a minimum you will be educated to HNC level in a building or construction discipline and have sound knowledge of reactive and planned maintenance in the domestic housing sector is essential. A background in electrical works or heating systems is also desirable.
