Falkirk Council currently offers 4 Health & Fitness Clubs across the Falkirk Area, driving physical activity, for the local people.

We are looking for an outgoing and enthusiastic individual with a passion for walking. You will strategically promote our Step Forth Walking Programme, with your key objective to encourage the people of Falkirk to increase their walking and promote the excellent walking links across the area. Succeed with this goal and you will support Falkirk in continuing to be one of the most active communities.

We are looking for a fabulous people person and a strong communicator, who can effectively develop and manage a team of volunteers to ensure an integrated approach to walking service delivery. The walking programme is very well established, previously winning awards, and we are therefore looking for a highly motivated individual, with the insight and knowledge to take to this service to the next level.

You will work consistently with key partner organisations like Paths for All, GP Practices and Health professionals, to ensure an effective and integrated approach with our Exercise Referral Programme.

The successful candidate will ideally be qualified to either HND or degree level in a Health or Fitness field or equivalent experience may be considered. Relevant experience of working in this area is desirable.
