Falkirk, Stirling, and Clackmannanshire Councils alongside colleagues in Police Scotland are working together to implement the national Scottish Child Interview Model to improve the quality and consistency of joint investigative interviews of children across Forth Valley. By working in partnership as a co-located team we will demonstrate our commitment to this child centered, trauma informed approach which is intended to improve the child’s experiences of child protection and Court processes.
This new team will consist of 10 staff including a Detective Sergeant, a Social Work Team Manager, 4 Social Workers and 4 Detective Constables to provide a comprehensive service to the children and young people of Forth Valley.
The Social Work posts will be hosted by Falkirk Council and will be subject to Falkirk Council’s terms and conditions.
We are looking for a highly motivated, skilled Social Work Team Manager who will encompass the values and vision of this specialist Forth Valley Team and lead on and support trauma informed interviews with children who experience or witness harm.
This is an exciting new venture, and the Team Manager will be a critical part of our cross-agency Team working hand in hand with Police colleagues leading on the Scottish Child Interview Model approach.
You will have the opportunity for continuous professional development within a strong Forth Valley Social Work and Police partnership, which has children, and their right to justice and recovery, firmly at its heart.
Please note that successful candidate to this post will require to be available to undertake mandatory training for 3 days in November 2023, date still to be confirmed.
