Job Details

This role is based within Business Technology Solutions (BTS) and is a full-time position working 36 hours per week.

You will earn a competitive salary of £38,950.71 to £42,686.23 and have access to a range of benefits including local and national discounts for supermarkets, restaurants, and retail.

An exciting opportunity to join the Collaboration and Productivity Solutions Competency Centre in BTS and be part of a team committed to driving innovation and digital transformation through the Microsoft Power Platform.

As we expand our capabilities, we are seeking a dynamic and experienced individual to lead our Power Platform Centre of Excellence (CoE).

As the Power Platform CoE Lead, you will be responsible for nurturing our CoE, ensuring that it becomes a strategic hub for driving creativity, efficiency, and excellence across the Council.

You’ll collaborate with cross-functional teams, break down silos, and empower staff to leverage low-code development while maintaining governance and control.

Key responsibilities will include:-

  • Align CoE efforts with overall business objectives.
  • Customisation of the CoE Toolkit to meet the Council’s needs.
  • Manage users, capacity, and licensing.
  • Promote architecture reviews and sharing reusable components.
  • Develop a roadmap for Power Platform adoption and growth.
  • Enforce governance policies, best practices, and standards.
  • Monitor compliance with security, data privacy, and quality guidelines

We are currently working in a blended working environment with a mix of home working and office days.

The Person

Educated to SCQF level 8 which includes HND or SVQ level 4 or equivalent in a relevant subject or equivalent experience.

Substantial understanding of the ICT Industry, including data protection.

Knowledge and experience of the Power Platform, including the CoE Toolkit.

Experience of working with customers to provide a bridge between technology and business requirements.

Requires the ability to collaborate effectively within a team environment and work independently as needed, depending on the nature of the tasks.

Demonstrate a commitment to fostering continuous learning, staying abreast of the latest features, and adhering to best practices within the Power Platform.
