Job Details

As a key member of the newly formed Policy and Delivery Team, the Policy Coordinator will lead the refresh and development of policy, planning and outcome delivery across services and with partners. Fife’s joint working approach is well-established and we have ambitious plans to reform public services over the next three years. The successful candidate will join us at an exciting time and with a remit that can influence the future of public services and make a positive contribution to people’s lives.

Key tasks will include:

  • Managing policy and planning across strategic improvements.
  • Providing expert advice, challenge and guidance to services, partners and elected members.
  • Monitoring and ensuring effective analysis of improvements and systems.
  • Conducting policy reviews and developing options/recommendations for improvement.
  • Leading management and improvement or council and partnership policy/standards.
  • Analysing performance management information, data and metrics.

The team works on a hybrid basis - working from home, in the community and on a regular basis from Fife House and other Council buildings.

The Person

Professional, flexible, supportive and open to the opportunities of change, the candidate will have:

  • Experience in strategic policy and planning techniques at a corporate/partnership level.
  • Track record of relevant delivery and evidence of embedding successful improvement.
  • Programme and project management experience working with a broad range of stakeholders.
  • Analytical and problem solving skills using appropriate/relevant packages/technology.
  • Ability to prepare, position and present effective and influential solutions and reports.
  • Ability to present complex analytical information using digital and data tools.

We are currently shaping our future workstyles however, in light of current advice, we are introducing blended home/office working that will include office access days each week with homeworking for the remainder of your working time.
