This new role offers a unique opportunity to be at the forefront of new ways of working, planning and delivering public services. You will lead and shape ideas for the future that will help realise Fife’s ambitions and the full potential a Community Wealth Building approach offers. Specific project management duties in this context include the:
- Design, management and delivery of projects that advance and embed community wealth building practice across key areas of work including economy/economic wellbeing, procurement and employability.
- Advising and supporting leaders and services - identifying opportunities for joint working regionally and locally.
- Supporting the development of responsible and progressive wealth building practice e.g. the design and review of procurement tenders to achieve maximum community benefit.
- Creating funding applications, managing and monitoring spend and reporting on risks, delivery and outcomes.
In this role, you will be part of the newly formed Policy and Delivery Team, who work closely with all services, area teams, elected members and community planning partners to ensure alignment of policy, strategy, performance and the delivery of corporate priorities. Day-to-day, you will also work closely with the Head of Economic Development and colleagues from across that department, procurement and HR, among others.

The Person
Educated to SCQF level 9 or equivalent with a qualification in Project Management and extensive experience working in Economic Development or Procurement functions, you will also have demonstrable experience in:
- aligning strategy and delivery.
- research and data management.
- effective project delivery and performance.
- managing multi-disciplinary teams/projects.
- communication and presentation skills.
We are currently shaping our future workstyles however, in light of current advice, we are introducing blended home/office working that will include office access days each week with homeworking for the remainder of your working time.
