It’s an exciting time to practice within Children and Families in Fife as we seek to deliver ‘The Promise’. Fife has invested into services and as such we know we can support social workers to have small caseloads ensuring they can work creatively and innovatively with families. We have a strong ambition to support children to stay within their families and in their communities. We are seeking social workers to work in our teams in Cowdenbeath

We can offer all social workers with a diverse induction, access to a range of learning and training opportunities, coaching and mentoring as well as the support and supervision needed to develop practitioners. We offer an extensive training plan, group supervision and the opportunity to undertake post qualifying to enhance skills, knowledge and career progression. We have a high level of support and supervision to NQSW and offer the opportunities for experiences staff to develop their careers. We offer post qualifying, support training and supervision and seek to offer a creative training programme to support the workforce to be trauma informed, able to undertake complex assessment of need and risks.

The Person

Before confirming your appointment, you will be required to obtain Protection of Vulnerable Groups (PVG) scheme membership through Disclosure Scotland and become a member of the relevant PVG scheme.

You are required to register with Scottish Social Services Council (SSSC) within 6 months of taking up employment in this role and to complete the required Post Registration Training and Learning (PRTL) over the first registration period.

You will save money on your SSSC fees as these will now be paid for all roles and grades by the Scottish Government
