The Glasgow Health and Social Care Partnership is on a journey to radically change the way in which Social Work delivers support and services.

An exciting opportunity has now arisen for a Qualified Social Worker to join our Asylum and Refugee team on a temporary basis until 31st March 2025.  Given the high number of anticipated individuals and families who will need to be managed by Homelessness Services, the Social Worker will ensure safeguarding measures are in place for households and create positive collaborative working with the wider GHSCP professional health and social work services staff.

This is a challenging, fast paced role with a number of service developments being implemented.  We therefore are seeking energetic, talented, resilient and committed people to come and work with us.

You will have sound knowledge of assessment and care management and work in a person centred manner which will be fully embedded in your practice.  

You will be confident in managing risk and looking for innovative ways to promote independence and link people into the local community.  

You will be committed to continuous professional development.

Applicants must possess a Degree / Diploma in Social Work (or Social Work equivalent).

Membership of the Protection of Vulnerable Groups Scheme will be essential on taking up appointment. Please note successful candidates for the above position will be required to pay for their PVG Membership/or Scheme Checks.

Current SSSC registration as a Social Worker or registration within 6 months of taking up a position, is essential. 

These posts are excepted under Rehabilitation of Offenders Act 1974 (Exclusions and Exceptions) (Scotland) Order 2013 (as amended).

This post is temporary for a period up to 31/03/25.
