Job Description

Glasgow Life is looking for a Project Development Manager: Culture and Heritage to join us on a full time, fixed term contract for a period up to 15 months until October 2025. As Project Development Manager: Culture and Heritage you will be joining our in-demand Arts, Music and Cultural Venues service. You will be part of a dedicated team which will support the development of Sauchiehall Street: Culture and Heritage District.

The role
As a Project Development Manager: Culture and Heritage you’ll be an integral part of the team by leading the coordination of the development phase of Sauchiehall Street: Culture and Heritage District, which is supported by the National Lottery Heritage Fund. Reporting to Senior Projects and Programme Manager and working alongside new and existing colleagues as part of a newly established team.

The candidate
If you’re interested in joining us as a Project Development Manager: Culture and Heritage, you’ll need:
• A relevant qualification in a culture or heritage discipline
• Experience of capital project development and arts commissioning
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Understanding of the complexities found in culture and heritage projects and be able to identify a range of approaches/solutions to ensure project success.
• Experience of planning complex projects taking account of multiple funding sources and stakeholders and effectively reporting progress, risks and issues.

Some of our roles are currently piloting hybrid working, with teams working between the office and home. Your line manager will agree these days with you. This balance enables you to continue much-needed collaborative working.

Our Albion Street office has great links to public transport.

This role is working 35 hours per week over 5 days.
