Job Description

Glasgow Life is looking for a Sport and Physical Activity Coach to join us on a full time, fixed term contract for a period up to two years. As Sport and Physical Activity Coach you will be joining our in-demand Club, Coach and Volunteer Team. You will be part of a dedicated team which supports sport and physical activity in local communities.

The role 
As a Sport and Physical Activity Coach you’ll be an integral part of the team by developing opportunities to participate, coach or volunteer in sport and physical activity. Reporting to a sports development Officer and working alongside the Club, Coach, and Volunteer team. 

The candidate 
If you’re interested in joining us as a Sport and Physical Activity Coach you’ll need: 
•     National Governing Body qualification/s in sport and/ activity.
•    A passion and commitment for sport and physical activity.
•    An ability to motivate and engage local people in the Dennistoun area to engage in sport and physical activity.
•    The ability to engage with and work alongside new and existing volunteers
•    PVG Scheme Membership

Our post is city-wide across all of our locations however will have a focus on the East end of the city and predominantly based at various locations in and around Dennistoun with our central office base the Emirates Arena.  This role is working 35 hours typically Monday to Friday with weekend and evening work will be required on an ad hoc basis. Details regarding hours and location will be discussed further at interview. 

Selection Process – Stage 1 involves an in-person interview, Stage 2 includes a practical delivery session at one of D&ACSH sessions. When we receive your application, successful candidates will be contacted to arrange next steps.
