The Role:
An exciting opportunity has arisen within Glasgow City Council, facilities management team, for the position of Cook. Reporting to the Area Operations Manager, the main duties and responsibilities will include the delivery of a high standard of food for the premise as well as for hospitality provisions throughout the building.
In addition, you will comply with all Food Hygiene Regulations, ensuring that kitchen and equipment work areas are cleaned and maintained to a high standard and that stock and budgets are controlled at all times.
What we are looking for:
You will be a forward-thinking individual who is dedicated, highly motivated, innovative and will demonstrate an in depth knowledge of cooking techniques and excellent presentation skills.
You will be required to work on your own initiative, as well as part of a team and possess good relationship management skills, with the ability to communicate effectively with both internal and external customers. Customer care will be an essential element of all communication.
