Job Purpose: To take a customer based “housing options” approach to help people to meet their housing needs. This will involve members of the public seeking assistance with either their housing need or housing crisis, incorporating homeless prevention, statutory homelessness and council house allocations in accordance with Council policies.

Requirements

Completed the Professional Development Award (Level 7) in Housing Law, Information and Advice, or be prepared to undertake this course of study immediately following appointment.

Have access to personal transport - Given the nature of this job, the post holder will be required to make visits away from their normal base. A driving licence is highly desirable, but consideration would be given to the post holder making alternative arrangements as long as these meet the operational requirements of the Service.

Experience of working with the public in a sometimes challenging front line service delivery environment.
