Post Title: Senior Engineer (Transport Planning and Development Management)
Location: Inverness
Hours: 35 hours per week
Duration: Fixed Term to 31st August 2024
Salary: HC10 £43,552 - £47,629 p.a.
Salary placing will normally be at the first point of the scale.

Job Purpose:
- To make considered judgements regarding technical and development matters relating to transport and flooding.
- To represent the Roads and Infrastructure point of view in relation to development proposals.
- To communicate effectively with developers, planning officers, elected Members and the public regarding the transport implications of new development.
- To supervise junior members of staff undertaking development management and roads construction consent.

Requirements
Degree in Civil Engineering or a related subject.
Professional qualification at CEng (ICE) or equivalent.
Valid driving licence. You will be expected to travel efficiently and effectively between various work locations within Highland to meet the operational requirements of the Service.
