Bayview House Care Home for Older Adults are looking for two Social Care Workers to join their team.

The posts are responsible for leading a team to support vulnerable adults in a residential setting and to contribute to the movement and treatment of clients to maximise their physical comfort.

You must have the ability to work as part of a team or on your own initiative, follow instructions and possess good communication skills. You must also be able to respond constructively to unpredictable situations and able to cope under pressure

In order to be able to carry out the duties of this post effectively and safely, candidates should be able to provide evidence of a good basic education, good written communication and report writing skills. Applicants should have experience in working with people in a care setting.

Minimum of SVQ 2 in Social Care or equivalent and commitment to achieve SVQ3 in Social Care or equivalent plus holding or commitment to work towards a PDA in Administration of Medication.

To undertake this post you must be or commit to be registered with the SSSC and must comply with their code of conduct. If you are registered with another Social Services body, you will be expected to transfer your membership to SSSC on appointment

There are 2 permanent posts available each of 18.75 hours:-

Post 1 – Back Shift working 16:00 to 22.00, 4 days on 4 days off

Post 2 - Rolling 3 week rota: working 07.30 - 16.30
