The Wester Ross Integrated Health & Social Care Team has a vacancy for a professionally qualified Social Worker in it’s busy Ullapool office. The Team works closely with other disciplines such as nursing and mental health teams to provide a multi disciplinary and integrated service for adults in a beautiful but remote and rural setting. Although based in Ullapool the Team covers a wide area from Lochcarron in the South to Ullapool in the north and the mainly coastal locations in between.

We deliver a high standard of flexible and responsive social work to ensure the best quality of life for the people we support . This post is vital to ensuring the wellbeing of the communities to receive support to lead fulfilling lives

The work would include supporting vulnerable adults and their families and carers using a person-centred approach within relevant legislation including the Adult Support and Protection, Adults with Incapacity and Mental Health Acts. You would be part of a Team working with other NHS professionals to provide a multi-disciplinary framework for interventions, assessments, report writing, arranging, with the client’s consent, care packages to meet assessed need. Working as part multi-disciplinary service which supports adults living within a large remote and rural geographical area with the potential challenges this can present.

Flexible working is encouraged and an application for part time or job share would also be considered. Due to the rural nature of this post a full driving licence is essential

Applicants should be registered with the Scottish Social Services council on the ‘Social worker’ part of the register and hold a qualification that is recognised by the SSSC as being equivalent to the Diploma in social work (DipSW).
